The Melrose Arts and Crafts Festival

This festival features fine arts & crafts held on the grounds of the historic Melrose Plantation. Home tours were available inside and around the plantation ground for an additional fee. This event has been held for over 40 years and showcased the exclusive cajun and creole cultures. And of course food vendors were there!
The unique atmosphere and culture experienced at this annual festival is not one to miss.
Hand carved bird houses
A banner on the Big House celebrating the return of the Clementine Hunter paintings after being removed for cleaning and care. Hunter is a famous primitive artist of the Cane River Lake region who used her paintings to depict slave culture.
