The NSU International Festival

The students of the Northwestern State University’s hospitality management and tourism department along with student of the culinary arts program hosted the International Festival of Cultures and Cuisines. The festivals spanned the 500 block of the brick road Front Street from 4:30-7 p.m. on Tues. April 12 in downtown Natchitoches, LA.
The booths represented different countries in decor, cuisine and activities presented by the HMT students. The cuisine included samples of international foods, wines, beer, and desserts prepared by culinary students ad priced at $2-3. Featured activities included cancan dancing at the France booth, a salsa band at the Latin America booth, and smashing of plates at the Greece booth. All proceeds went towards the NSU Hospitality Foundation.
