Karla Ewing is a graduate from the Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern State University of Louisiana. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Communications with a minor in French. Her undergraduate thesis is titled “From Olympus to Woodstock to Bonnaroo: The Function of Music Festivals.” Her research included conducting surveys and interviews at four festivals of various style and location. Ewing compared her data with an historical analysis of music festivals as they have developed different functions in society. This website will be used to share her academic, professional, and personal writings.
